Taste le Tour – Stage 9, Bagnères de Bigorre

Damn you Gabriel! Watching this episode made me damn hungry 🙂 These special black pigs appear to produce some awesome pork! And if you have seen some of FatTV you will know I don’t mind a bit of pig! Yumm!!

Anyway, the dish he is preparing is an all time classic that the French are renowned for. So duck outside and pick up a few slimy little buggers and get cooking… Escargots is on!!

Gabriel Gaté enjoys his second day in the Pyrenees and looks up a local farmer who breeds black pigs for their meat and superb ham. In the kitchen, Gabriel prepares a popular local dish of escargots with herbs and walnut butter.

I'm going to let the meat speak for itself and not add much to it, just a simple sauce made from all the goodness in the tray.
